‘My work is about the power of the feminine spiral healing frequency. One of the deepest and vivid interactions I experience in my artworks is when I’m hand spinning plant based fibers, pairing with active meditation. THE magic potion! The spiral portal to reboot yourself, to heal yourself. It is when I’m creating from fiber to thread, that I’m not only perpetuating the ancient technique of spinning from my ancestors but I’m actually being able to pass on this energy to the thread as a spider does from her guts.’  - Samantha Ortiz
